KERRVILLE, Texas — The United Family, along with Albertsons Companies’ sister stores, joined forces to help flood victims in Kerr County and San Angelo, Texas, with a donation from Albertsons Companies Foundation to the Kerr County Flood Relief Fund managed by Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country and the San Angelo Area Foundation.

In total, the Albertsons Companies Foundation is donating $487,366.00 between the two organizations. Both the Southern Division and The United Family Division of Albertsons Companies contributed to the donations. The Southern Division includes stores across Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, and Oklahoma, and The United Family Division includes stores across Texas and New Mexico.

“Our hearts are with those in Kerr County and with those in Central Texas and beyond, who’ve been deeply impacted by the recent flooding,” said Wes Jackson, Albertsons Companies Southern Division President. “Together with the United Family Division, we are here to support fellow Texans in our shared communities across the state.”

“Our fellow Texans who were deeply impacted by the recent floods continue to be in our thoughts and prayers,” said Sidney Hopper, president of The United Family Division. “Words cannot adequately describe the devastation from this event. We are grateful to be part of an organization that mobilized and united to help our neighbors in need.”

The Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country has expressed deep gratitude for this donation, which will directly benefit the families impacted most, including the 118 precious lives that were lost. Grants are already in progress and individuals are continuing to receive immediate assistance.

“This extraordinary gift will help our neighbors rebuild their lives and restore hope for hundreds of families,” said Austin Dickson, CEO, Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country. “We are deeply grateful for this powerful act of solidarity with the Hill Country during such a trying time.”
