United Supermarkets & Smart Chicken team up to donate 4,120 lbs. of chicken to the South Plains Food Bank

LUBBOCK, Texas — United Supermarkets and Smart Chicken are teaming up to donate 4,120 pounds of chicken to the South Plains Food Bank on Monday, December 22, at 2:00 p.m. at the South Plains Food Bank (5605 MLK Jr. Blvd.).

This donation comes as part of the 25th Annual Smart Giving program, an initiative by Smart Chicken to donate 10 percent of all Smart Chicken purchased at United Supermarkets during the month of November to the South Plains Food Bank. This program is responsible for donating tens of thousands of pounds of chicken to food banks over the years.

Media is welcome to attend as representatives, with each organization delivering remarks about the donation and its impact. There will also be a photo op with the donation.
