FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: The United Family kicks off 15th annual School Supply Drive Fundraiser alongside school district officials

LUBBOCK, Texas — From July 13 to July 26, The United Family will partner with Lubbock-area school districts to host a school supply drive fundraiser for local students in need.

This is the 15^th annual school supply drive campaign encouraging guests to help local students ahead of the new school year. This campaign will allow guests to donate at the register when checking out at any Lubbock or Slaton United Supermarkets, Market Street, or Amigos location. Guests will be prompted to donate on the pin pad during checkout.

“We’re proud to support students across our local school districts as they prepare for the new school year,” said Sidney Hopper, president of The United Family. “The funds raised will help provide essential school supplies and ensure more students have the tools they need to succeed in the classroom.”

The United Family kicked off the fundraiser by hosting school representatives from each participating district for a mini-shopping spree. Those in attendance were provided with a $150 gift card to get a head start on the school-supply shopping for the students in their district.

School districts benefiting from the supply drive include Lubbock ISD, Lubbock-Cooper ISD, Frenship ISD, Roosevelt ISD, Slaton ISD, and Shallowater ISD. School district personnel will use the donated funds to purchase supplies and distribute them to students with the greatest need.
